Web Summit is moving to Lisbon and it is the major tech event happening every year. Last year had 42000 attendees with interest in different areas such us marketing, leadership, management, venture capital, trends, digital, among many other sectors.
Dublin was prepared to receive this crowd, but also the 1000 speakers from companies such us Microsoft, Pixar, Yandex, Google, The Coca-Cola Company, Deutsche Bank, Basecamp, among many other know companies.
Web Summit 2016 will happen from 7 to 10 November.
Web Summit location in Lisbon
The Web Summit in Lisbon will happen at Lisbon MEO Arena. The place received during their 15 years of experience more than 6 million people. Business events, sport events, music events have been hosted with massive productions and resources.
Meo Arena is located at Parque das Nações. It is near of the subway station (Oriente), Gare do Oriente (transportation hub, with bus and train). From Gare do Oriente, you can easily connect with 80% of Lisbon´s city by subway.
Meo Arena was constructed in 2 years ( 1996 to 1998 ) for the World Exhibition 98. The architect was Regino Cruz from Skidmore, Owings & Merril . The original name was Pavilhão Utopia, later “Pavilhão Atlântico”.
Web Summit organization also selects the early stage startups to be present at the event. Anyone can be a ALPHA on this amazing event. If you are selected to be present with an exhibition stand, the price is 1950 € and you will have 4 tickets plus possibility to be with investors, mentor hours, startup university sessions, among other benefits.
