Petiscos Hands-on Class or Showcooking is a Portuguese food experience in Lisbon where you choose the methodology. Your group will learn and taste how to make the Portuguese petiscos.
Petisco(s) means a delicatessen or a snack. Its small portion cooked or prepared in a single special way because you need an amazing quality and flavor.
All recipes are easy to learn, different flavours and will have ingredients from the season. During the cooking process, people will taste also some local beverages, while drinking Portuguese wines or beer, according your preference.
During the showcooking, you will see and eat, besides a portuguese premium olive oil tasting with the amazing portuguese bread.
Portugal has several petiscos with very different origins and tastes, from seafood to meat, vegetables and fish.
Everything is possible to find, some examples : Pork Meat, Bifana Sandwich, Portuguese Snails, Tuna Paste, Shells cooked in variation styles, codfish patties, octopus, squid dishes, among many other options. At Cooking Lisbon we try to choose the ones, you can make at home, for your friends and family.
